When it comes to vibration damping sheet materials, there simply is nothing better than VB-2HD. VB-2HD is a lightweight, highly formable, vinyl based damping material that contains a silica mica and ceramic load incorporated to convert panel resonance (vibration) into low level heat through friction. VB2HD is odorless and offers excellent cosmetic integration characteristics and may even be painted to achieve the ultimate in OEM appearance. VB-2HD will stretch up to 70% allowing it to conform to the most irregular shape imaginable without tearing.

Primarily, VB-2HD acts as a viscoelastic vibration damper lowering the resonant frequency of the sheetmetal, plastic or fiberglass substrate. The product features an extremely aggressive, modified acrylic adhesive that is stable to 250°. VB-2HD is also Class A fire rated making it acceptable for commercial and residential applications also.
