Flexible Barrier

VB-4 is a composite material with a flexible, loaded vinyl mass barrier, and a foam decoupling layer which reduces road noise by impeding the passage of soundwaves. The decoupling foam layer acts as an airspace and spring, and in combination with VB-4’s flexible nature, this feature prevents the composite from taking on vibrations from supporting structures, resulting in superior transmission loss over a broad frequency range.
