Zero Noise offers a wide variety of damping products ideal for sheet metal, plastic, fiberglass and wood. They can be used to eliminate vibration and the associated noise in marine applications. How do these products work? They operate as "visco-elastic" dampers by converting vibration energy into low level heat. As an enhancement product to automotive audio systems, they can yield stunning results.
Our VB-1X vibration damping compound may also be applied to the inside of automotive loudspeaker enclosures whether fiberglass, plastic or wood to increase overall output by 1 to 1.5db.
Please feel free to contact our technical support department should you have any questions or comments regarding the installation or application of these products. |

VB-1X is an air curing, liquid damping compound. Its combination of silica-mica, ceramics and an advanced chemical binder greatly reduces structural resonance by converting vibration into “viscous” friction or low level heat. It is purple in color when applied and changes to matte black when dry.

VB-2 is a flexible, odorless and lightweight mineral filled vinyl-copolymer formulated to handle the demanding extremes of aircraft vibration and noise control. It has twice the damping and less than half the weight of asphalt damping materials and the ability to handle continuous temperatures to 250 degrees.

VB-2HD
For heavy duty damping requirements VB-2HD is the perfect material. At a mere .43 pounds per square foot VB-2HD out damps other materials that are up to 4 times heavier. How does it work? Both VB-2 & VB-2HD operate as visco-elastic dampers. By heavily loading silica and quartz into a flexible vinyl carrier VB-2 efficiently converts vibration energy into low level heat.

V-Max These durable damping pads are constructed of an advanced, non-curing butylene rubber bonded to a thin layer of black aluminum. Applying VMAX to steel, plastic and fiberglass surfaces will decrease structural resonance, producing a tighter, quieter and more comfortable passenger compartment. VMAX damping sheets are lightweight, effective and easy to install. No tools are needed. Each sheet of V-Max is 12 inches wide and 30 inches long.
